Jonathan Tomas informed that popular OpenShot editor now uses few more effects which are generated with Blender. The application is now also more stable and have few other additions.

OpenShot 1.4.3 have now improved drag and drop features, but whats more interesting, also new dark theme (known from professional tools for video editing and for example Blender).

Better and better

It's worth noting, that Lightworks used for number of Hollywood movies is prepared to debut this month on Linux (and hopefully on Ubuntu too). From what we know it will be free for home users.

What can I say, it will be big day for Linux because OpenShot and few other tools available from some time are just very simple. We can add few effects and split movie but it's still almost nothing comparing to Lightworks.

You can watch new OpenShot effects on this video, or simply install OpenShot from DEB file.
