Installing Synapse in Ubuntu

Synapse is one of the many internet messaging applications. It has an interesting look and a number of useful plugins. Is it enough to attract users? I will show you today how to install it in popular Linux Ubuntu.


Installatin

To install Synape we need to add the new repository first:

ForUbuntu 8.10:

deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/firerabbit/ppa/ubuntu intrepid main
For Ubuntu 9.04:
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/firerabbit/ppa/ubuntu jaunty main
Then we have to refresh the repository list by typing:
sudo apt-get update
And at the end we install Synapse:
sudo apt-get install synapse
